Free Choice- Friday

I really love Miss Plunkett. In my class with her, it’s a RSP class. I catch up on my work in other classes. But, she’ll also have other stuff for me to do too. We did this Holland Code project. That project had us doing these personality assessments in this little booklet thing. From there, we had to find our three holland coded letters and description words that match our personality best. My code was SAC, which is Social, Artistic, and Conventional. Once I got that code, then I did this project where I did some research on careers that interest me that go with those personality types.

In the ending of 2012, I went with Miss Plunkett during the holiday break to a Nutcracker play. It was something our class did together, but we had to get permission from our parents/guardians. I liked the play, but there were sometimes during it where I got bored and felt like leaving. I think the little kids did great with their singing and acting. Some parts were funny, and some parts were scary. I think for the most part it was interesting and there was a lot of action.

I look forward to my graduation and I’m really thankful that she’s always been helpful to me.  She’s done so much for me.  I look forward to even continuing my connection and relationship with her after my graduation as well.

My Favorite Hobby

My favorite hobby is singing. I normally sing songs that I know or have heard. I started songwriting, but I’m working on getting help for getting beats and melodies for the songs I’ve been writing. Once I get that part taken care of, then I’ll have a better understanding how to sing them.  I’ll practice and practice them and go from there.

There’s different kinds of music that I like. But I like pop, rock, hip hop, and R&B. Those are the main examples, but I do like some country music. When it comes to my singing and music, I don’t think I’d do country. If I was going to make an album right now, I would make it either pop or hip hop. My favorite singer is Gwen Stefani and I also love her band No Doubt. I love all of her music, with and without her band.

For my songwriting, of course it’s about my feelings. I write down my thoughts and about whatever I’m feeling at the time. I get whatever out. It doesn’t always work, because there are times that I just journal and don’t take it any further than that because I feel like I don’t want everyone to know it. I journal about whatever, and if I want people to hear it and know the lyrics, then I’ll make it into a song. But, if I don’t, then its just journaling and won’t make it into anything. It all starts off with journaling. Also, I just started songwriting a couple weeks ago or so. Before, I would just sing and not do any songwriting.

About Me

I am 17 years old and I love singing, listening to music, and socializing. My favorite singer is Gwen Stefani. I love Gwen Stefani and her music. She is my biggest inspiration when it comes to my singing. My dream is to become a singer, and I’ve started working really hard, doing my very best, and working on it as hard as I can. I also recently got someone that can help me make this dream of mine come true.

The person that I got that can help me with it is my best friend Brisa’s sister. Her name is Yesenia. She sings, raps, makes her own music, and started posting music videos on Youtube of her music. Yesenia writes her own music, and she has a friend that helps her. She is going to start helping me as well with getting melodies and beats for our songs that we write. I just started talking to her last Friday evening.

Also, I’ve also been dreaming of being a wife and mother.  I imagine myself as a singer, mom, and a wife. These have been my dreams and wishes since I was really little, like 4 or 5 years old.
